Taraba: Gov Ishaku Recalls Suspended Education Secretaries
Taraba State governor, Arc Darius Ishaku, has recalled the recently suspended education secretaries across the sixteen local government areas of the state.
Ishaku, who stated yesterday in Kurmi LGA of the state while addressing the people of the area, said their role to sabotage the efforts of government in ensuring regular and prompt payment of salaries of local government workers, teachers and pensioners in the state led to their suspension.
“When I discovered the role they all played to sabotage my efforts, I frowned at their unwholesome attitude.
“And during our screening exercise last year, we got to know that some local government education secretaries and other senior officials were short changing primary school teachers in the state,” he said.
He explained that his administration would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the education system at the grassroots are giving top priority.
He informed that he would continue to strengthen security operatives to rid off criminal activities in the state.
According to him, the bottleneck surrounding the issuing of contract for the construction of Mararaba-Baisa road has been put to rest, adding that work would soon commence as soon as there is an improvement in the finance of the state.
