Post Graduate Medical College laments poor funding
​President , National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria,
NPMCN, Dr. Ademola Abayomi Olaitain, weekend, decried poor
funding of the College, calling on the Tertiary Education Trust
Fund, TETFUND, to release funds for the College to enable it get
clinical skills and simulation laboratory.
Meanwhile, the college will this week confer fellows to 340 doctors
who have completed the compulsory clinical placement and rotations
of not less than five years in accredited Teaching Hospitals and
Specialist Hospitals. The new convokes have brought the number of
fellows certified by the College to 5,387.
Briefing journalists in Lagos on the forthcoming convocation,
Olaitan said lack of fund has continued to impede on ongoing
projects at the College.
He explained that the clinical skills and simulation laboratory facility
would help to train Medical and Dental specialists of the highest
quality, competence and dedication in line with global best practices
in postgraduate medical education.
