Nigeria: NGO Makes Case On Education Bill

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Civil Society
Action Coalition on Education For All (CSACEFA) has
said it would soon draft a bill on the challenges of
the education sector and present it to the National
Assembly.
The Policy Advisor of CSACEFA, Chioma Osuji who made
the remarks while interacting with Journalists in
Abuja, said that the bill if passed into law would
address the challenges of quality education in the
country.
“We are going to draft a bill and forward it to the
National Assembly. There are many challenges in
education sector. Therefore, we will work with those
that are like minds,” she said.
She called on the stakeholders in the sector to put
hands on deck to ensure education sustainability in
the country.
Chioma said that the intended Federal Government
primary feeding programme would not succeed without
community participation.
According to her, CSACEFA’s intervention was mainly
on public schools because they are the voiceless
compared to students of private schools.
